Appointments' time changed when viewed on other users' terminals

When i create an appointment and make it an all day event on one station then i look at that shared calendar on anoter terminal, seemingly automatically, Outlook makes it into a timed event by adding calendars to it, and actually extends it into the previous day or the next day. it's crazy because it's unpredictable and it completly defeats the reason you share a calendar to begin with. has anyone else experienced this
