Appropriate permission denied

I recently had my computer infected with spyware, and it did something to my
Outlook files. I cleaned up the spyware, but when I try to send/receive
email in Outlook 2003, I get an error message that says:

"You don't have appropriate permission to perform this operation."

Is there anyone out there who can help me with this problem?

Hi MAB,
This seems to work.

In Outlook, go to Tools | Options | Other | Advanced Options.

Unselect the option to confirm permanent deletes.
