I'm using Project Web Access 2007 + Project 2007.
I'm an PWA administrator.
I have a project named Test that has a owner named Chris.
I can open this project and add tasks to it (because I'm administrator).
After adding tasks (with work resource assignment) to the project Test
and publishing it, tasks are sended to the users that are assigned to.
They can report status of their tasks using Task Center. After doing
that approving tasks updates are sended to ME NOT to CHRIS ? Why? Chris
is the owner of this project so he should manage approving task for his
project. If Chris open the project in Project 2007 and add task to it
and publish it everything works correctly. He receive this task updates
for approve.
What should I do to allow Chris receiving ALL task updates from his
project regardless of who is adding the tasks (he or me).

Please help.

Thank You in advance.

When you open someone else's project, add new tasks to it, assign resources
to the tasks, and then publish, Project Server 2007 designates you as the
Status Manager for those new tasks. This is the default behavior of the
tool and not a bug. To resolve this problem, please ask the manager of the
project to do the following:

1. Open the project and apply the Gantt Chart view.
2. Right-click on the Duration column header and select the "Insert Column"
option from the shortcut menu.
3. Select the Status Manager field and then click the OK button.
4. In the Status Manager column, select your own name from the pick list
for each of the new tasks.
5. Click File - Save.
6. Click File - Publish.

Hope this helps.
