Arab numerics in office 2003

Hi

I have a quick question. I have a user on windows XP service pack 2, using
office 2003 with an install of arabic MUI on his system. What he is trying to
do is convert Uk and US numerics for example 1, 2, 3 etc into arabic
numerics. The language pack is installed and working fine aside from the
inability to use arabic numerics. He has an english UK keyboard but Arabic is
selected in regional settings as a 2nd language choice.

My question really is does anybody know how to achieve this?

Thanks

Hi Nanny,

If the Language Pack has been turned on for Office 2003, then in Word there should be an additional tab for Tools=>Options, labeled
'Complex Scripts'. At the bottom of that dialog you can choose the setting to use for numerals. In that context 'Arabic' numerals
are 1,2, 3 etc.

If you do not see that tab then use
Start=>Programs=>Microsoft Office=>Microsoft Office Tools
and through the Language Settings tools enable the Arabic language support choices needed.
