Arabic Diacritic Marks

Using MS Office 203/Word and the Proofing tools I can display, input and edit
Arabic quite well except that I cannot get diacritic marks to display. Doing
Tools/Options/Complex Scripts/Show Diacritics has no effect at all.

Any suggestions ? Does this only work with certain fonts ? Does it ever work
at all ?
