Arabic, Hebrew, right to left text

Hi Gene, just reposting your message with a new subject so people who search
the archives will find it. Mellel's been mentioned before, but not

Unfortunately, [Mac]Word[X] cannot handle Hebrew (or Arabic) fonts or input, nor
will it work with Greek fonts (or any others) that are unicode based.

If you must deal with Hebrew and Greek for hermeneutic purposes, I recommend
an inexpensive ($25) shareware word processor/linguistically-oriented
typography application called MELLEL:

"Redlex" is the company name, founded after the Redlers started their
website. I guess they haven't gotten around to putting up a forwarding link.

It's also their e-mail address handle for their user discussion list, to
confuse things even a little more....
