Archive DB growing indefinitely

Robert

Hello,
It seems that the Archive DB of Project Server 2007 is growing indefinitely.
For example some projects which have been deleted some months ago are still
there. Is it possible to purge this Archive DB : to remove all data older
than x years?
Thanks

Robert, the behaviour you experience is by design, the whole idea of the
archive db is to retain projects that you dont want to see in PWA anymore,
plus all the versions that you create through thte backup.

You can delete Projects from the archive database by navigating to the
server settings > delete enterprise objects. Within this screen you can
select from which database you wish to delete the projects. Please note, once
you have deleted your project from the archive db, it will be gone forever
and you will not be able to retrieve it anymore.
Hope this hleps
