Archive Error OL2000 SP-3 IMO

I have OL2000 SP-3 IMO (part of Office 2000 Premium) on Windows XP Home
Edition.
My Journals folder contains items with Modified Dates over 6 months old. I
have tried to manually archive the folder using the criterion of 6 months
old. The oldest first item gets moved to the Archive folder. Then this error
message appears: "Can't move the items. Some items could not be moved. They
were either already moved or deleted, or access was denied." (error 1)
I have also tried this. I have selected 1 file at random and dragged and
dropped it from the Journals folder to the Archive folder: it works. When I
try a 2nd file I get this error message: "Can't move the items" (error 2)
I restored this one file to the Journals folder and selected another file at
random: I moved it and it worked. I then selected another file and error 2
popped up.
If I select a range of files and move them only the first one is moved, the
others not and I get error 1. If I restore that file that was moved and I try
another range of files, same scenario.
I have used the Detect and Repair tool in the Help menu. I have used scanpst
on both *.pst files: Outlook and Archive. To no avail.

Is there a possible solution to this issue? This issue has been going on for
a long time on my machine: 1 year, 6 months. All other folders archive
properly: only the Journals folder has a problem.

OL opens without any problem but, over the last few hours, it always closes
with an error with the option of sending a report to MS.
In my IMO option, I have 4 email addresses from which I get messages into my
one Inbox in OL.
