Archive project documents and linking external documents

Hi,

I have two questions if you can help:
1.
After the project process is finished, how can I make archive of all project documents, risks, issues, tasks, status reports, etc...? So that this finished project cannot be seen in the Project center anymore but project documents (and risks, issuses, etc...) will still be available for access (like knowledge base for future similar projects, etc....)

2.
How can we include project documents which cannot be imported into the sharepoint project workspace (into SQL database)? Those documets must still exist on external file systems, but must be available in the Project Web Server like project documents which are in SQL database. So there must exist link for each external document and not document itself in the document library. This must be transparent to the user (clicking on document itself or link on the document on the same library must open the document).

Thanks in advance for answers

Hi Milan,

I might have an idea for you regarding Q2. If you
installed and use STS for Project Server, your docs will
be saved under the corresponding IIS virtual root. The
docs are not saved into SQL server DB - at least not on my
server. So, perhaps you could upload the docs into STS
through PWA and just share the corresponding folders to
your users?

Just an idea
