Archiving a folder

Tried to archive a folder by dragging to desktop.

I imported back by dragging back to Entourage. it was not a complete archive
and included some items that were not in the original

Why is this/

Without seeing the actual data, it would just be a guess. Is this on
all folders?

Folders you drag to the Desktop will not include sub-folders. You'll
have to drag each sub-folder separately.
