We're using Project Server 2007 in our organization. We've gotten to the
point where we have completed several projects, and I've done a lot of
research on how to archive completed projects as opposed to just deleting
them. I've followed the procedure described on this website:
http://www.projectserverexperts.com/Shared Documents/ArchiveCompletedProjects.htm
This has cleaned up our Project Center list, but I still have a couple of
lingering issues I would like to solve:
1) We don't use the Timesheet function, but I was hoping that setting the
Booking value for each team member to 'Proposed' would remove the tasks from
their 'My Tasks' list. This is not the case. It appears the only way to do
this is to use the 'Show Only Current Tasks' option and wait 10 days. It
doesn't appear that I can filter these out with a custom View either. Is
there another way of doing this?
2) I would like to cleanup the Project Workspaces list. Ideally, it would
be nice to create views for current/completed projects, but it doesn't appear
that I can do that. What's the best way to 'hide' workspaces of completed
projects on the main page, but still be able to access them easily?
