At my company we have users who have their archive folders located on their personal drive on the network.I have added to the users outlook a personal folder which points to the archive on their respective personal drives.
They can access their archive emails fine, but sometimes when they click on the archive folders in the folder view they get the following message
"The action could not be completed. The file (location of pst file)\archive.pst could not be accessed."
Then when I go into tools and then services and then highlight the personal folder for the archive, I am unable to check the properties of that folder and get a similar message.
Only when i delete this folder from the services and then exit outlook,re add the folder and point it to the location of the archive, and then reopen outlook.Only then can they access the archive.
Surely this shouldnt happen all the time.Users have this problem from time to time and I always need to do thius delete and then re create the personal folders. Surely this is not the fix for it
I have searched everywhere and cannot find a reference to this type of error in Outlook 2000
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!
Many Thanks
