archiving mhtml format

I noticed the "publish" option this morning. Is it possible to archive old
notes in the mhtl format - or does it pull from onenote each time.

Just it it appears to keep the format better than the send to word ?

You can publish either current page group or selected pages. This will create
independent from OneNote *.mht file which you can open with IE or other
browser. This format does preserve D-2 layout of notes (which Send to Word
lacks) but isn't fully roundtrippable, if you paste back into OneNote -
noteflags will be replaced with pictures, etc...

All in all, publishing as *mht can be quite useful if you need to send notes
for viewing (not editing) to someone with no OneNote. For archiving purposes
I doubt its convenience. I'd rather create a separate folder where I would
put old notes but don't keep this folder open in OneNote all the time (as at
least in my case archiving urge comes no often than once or twice a year :))

Perhaps I am trying to archive too soon really, Is there a limit to the
number of pages under a tab ?

I take you just move the .one out of the folder (explorer) to the archive
folder and onenote won't mind ?

I have to say I am really growing to love this app.

There is no practical limit to the number of pages in a section. I have
some sections with 50+ pages (with lots of graphics and "printed"
documents) and have no problems with performance.

You can move sections and folders around in Explorer (even while ON is
running) and ON chugs along without problems.
