Archiving Old Projects

Hi TheWall,

you will need to set up the schedule backup within the Database
Administration taht you will find in the server settings.
Everytime a project is backed up, it will be saved in the archive database.
If you then have a project that is closed and you dont want to see it anymore
in PWA, all you need to do is delete the project from the draft and publish
database. The project would still remain in the archive database. If you ever
wanted to restore the project you could do this using the administrative
restore.
Please note, that does not include the workspace.
Hope this helps

How do you: delete the project from the draft and publish DB? Via the Project
Center?

The version that goes to the Archive DB when the back up runs - is that the
Published version, or the Working version?

I ran the admin backup and before i delete the closed projects i wanted to
confirm that all the projects were listed under admin restore with the date I
scheduled the backup and i didn't see a current date. Additionally backups
are scheduled to occur at 12 am so wouldn't i see current dates for all
projects even if i had not run a separate backup?

Just want that confort factor before i delete projects from the published
data base.

Thanks.
