Archiving Project Workspace

my organization is interested in archiving completed projects. However, they
only want access to the artifacts. Is there a way to archive a project, but
allow users access to the artifacts?

How about just leaving the project workspace in place after removing the
project. WSS is highly scalable so the amount of data should not be an
issue. I'd want to set up some indexing or menu so that users can easily
find the project workspace they are looking for.

Ben, Thanks for the response. Can you walk me through removing the project
without removing WSS?

You can go to the delete object in the server settings page and make sure
that the check box for delete project workspace is left unchecked. I don’t
have a project server environment running so I can't give you the exact
names of the links. This is for Project Server 2007
For Project Server 2003 you will have to go to Admin and the Enterprise
features (I don't remember what it is called exactly) and select the
projects you want to delete and again make sure the delete workspace option
is left unchecked.
This will only delete the projects and leave the Project Workspaces
untouched

Hope that helps
