Archiving Projects/Isues/Risks SOP

P

Paul Schaefer

Hi all,

Is anyone out there archiving projects yet? We are looking to see how other
folks are handling the archiving of schedules, issues, risks, etc. Right now
we are archiving a version of the schedule in SharePoint, but leave the
dashboards active so we don't lose issues, risks, etc.

Thanks!

Couple of suggestions:

1. Follow this article to get an archiving idea:

How do I archive completed projects in the production Project Server database?

2. I've been using this stale tasks deletion process alongwith above article:

3. For Sharepoint sites backups, you can use Smigrate.exe &/or Stsadm.exe.
check this article to get an idea. Check "Summary Options" section for
comparison of different WSS backup methods.
