Arcs between connection lines

Hi,
In Visio 2000 or 2003; I want to create diagram like this:

The problem is how to create, filled and unfilled, arcs between connection lines. Of course it's possible to use separate pie-slices for this purpose but I was wondering if there isn't a better solution.

Any advice ...?
