Are Risk Triggers automated

Is there any automation round risk triggers or is it just documentary and
needs to be manually managed?

The trigger setting doesn't appear to have a value field associated with it
- so, for example, I can select Date or Exposure over threshold, but no
associated value. There are 2 fields but it's a radio button. I'd have
expected the first to be a trigger field and the second to be a trigger
value. Then some automation would be possible.

Am I missing something?

You're not missing anything. There's no automation around this. You can,
however, write your own.
