Are Sync errors fixed in Entourage 2008

I manage a group of Mac users on a hosted exchange service. Some of these users would have permission to view and change calendar and contacts on their boss' mailbox from their own profile using Entourage.

In Ent. 2004, there were numerous issues with sync errors and permissions, so much so, that we set the users up with Parallels and Outlook. Have these issues been resolved in 2008 to the point that we could eliminate parallels and migrate them to Mac only???

I'm not aware of any sync errors or permissions errors that were caused
by Entourage 2004 with Exchange Server. With that said, Entourage 2008
does have performance improvements for working with Exchange.

You have two options. You can either invest in a copy of Office 2008 and
test for yourself or you can wait for an Office 2008 Test Drive to be
released (no ETA). I would suggest waiting for the first service pack
for Office 2008 to be released so that most known issues are fixed. Keep
watching Microsoft's Mactopia website <http://www.microsoft.com/mac> for
announcements.

Finally, make sure Entourage 2008 will meet your needs beyond just
syncing. It's not Outlook and doesn't offer an equivalent set of
Exchange features. You may very well find that Parallels with Outlook is
still what you need.

Hope this helps!
