Are there any alternatives to using backgrounds/watermarks?

I need to have alternating backgrounds (3 different pictures).
Unfortunately, I have tables in my documents that break to the next page. I
can't add a section break in the middle of the table. Do you have an
alternative?

You can anchor each picture to an ordinary text paragraph and set the Text
Wrapping to "Behind text."
