Are there any shortcut keys to use symbols in OneNote?

I was wondering if there were any shortcut keys in OneNote to include symbols
(such as foreign letters) in the text I am writing? I have found a couple but
they are definitely not the same as those in Word, and in the Symbols window
under "Insert" there doesn't seem to be any information about shortcut keys...

Any help would be most appreciated...Thanks.

Hi,

If you enter the Unicode value for a character (see Windows Character
Map for values, if necessary) then hit Alt+X you should get any
character you want - at least if you have fonts which support the
character (glyph?).

I think you can omit leading zeroes in a Unicode value.

A7 followed by Alt+X will give you the § character, for example.

If it doesn't work for some scenario, I would be interested to know of
limitations.
