Are there Styles and Outlining functions in OneNote?

Writing in OneNote, I keep looking for Styles (or at least Format Painter). I
miss having an Outline function too. Am I missing something here? Should I be
working in Word and copying the text to OneNote?

You can outline in ON by pressing ctrl-/ on any line. Double click on the
number to change the outline format for that level. You can also start an
outline by just typing the start of the outline and hitting space:

"1)" or "A." or "I)" then hit space to get started.

There is no format painter. Character formatting is rudimentary compared to
Word, but this type of thing is the primary focus of Word, where the
availability of content is OneNote's focus. If you are looking to create
something visually appealing to print, OneNote isn't the right program, Word
is. Hope this helps.
