Are Triggers avaliable in Office X?

I am using Custom animation triggers to play a video after clicking on
a photo in Power Point 2003 in PC land. When I try to do the same in
Office X(Powerpoint) (Panther), I cannot do it.

In the PC version, I can select one of four categories which incldues
"Movie Actions".

Is there such a thing in Office X?

Thanks,

No, animation triggers are not available in Office X. If you want to see
this feature, along with the ability to create animation paths and timeline
animations, please send the feature request to Microsoft. In PowerPoint X,
go to Help -> Send Feedback on PowerPoint. Otherwise, click on this direct
link to enter Mac Product Feedback:

There are some workarounds you could use in this case. I would create one
slide as it should look before the video, duplicate it, and then add in the
video (choosing to have it play automatically). Then, on the slide without
the video, select the picture and go to Slide Show -> Action Settings.
Under the "Mouse Click" tab, choose to have it Hyperlink To Next Slide, and
click OK. Then, when you click the picture, the next slide will show and
the video will launch. You might want to remove the transition from the
second slide if you had one there.

Hi Milton,

There are some (not many) features of PowerPoint that Mac PowerPoint can do
but there's no user interface for these items.

If you can record a macro that runs in PPT for Windows then there's a chance
that the macro will run in Mac PPT.

It might be worthwhile for you to try making a macro and see whether or not
it works on Mac PPT, particularly in the new PowerPoint 2004 when it becomes
available.
