Are XL 2007 charts readable with earlier versions ?

Hi,
I see that the new Excel 2007 has a lot of new look charting features.
If I create new charts with Excel 2007, which use these new features, will
they be readable by earlier versions of Excel? Will some of the fetures get
lost in translation?
I was thinking maybe the new charts could be saved as Web pages and viewed
with the new features in a browser. Is that possible ?

Any info appreciated.
TIA.
Joe.

Most charts are readable. I few present problems, especially if
you're combining two charts types: stacked area charts and line
charts.

When I installed 007 I took the option of leaving the old versions on
my computer. It's a good thing I did. 007 does not record charting
macros.

Excel 2007 charts are readable in earlier versions of Excel, providing the
file can be opened up in the earlier version. Keep in mind that what has
changed with charts is their formatting features, but hardly any new
functional features.
