area chart blanks

I found discussions on not graphing empty cells, or "" for line charts, any
idea on for area charts? I tried using the ideas used for line charts, and
nothing would work. Thanks!

Matto -

Area charts aren't as smart as other charts. You can tell it through the Tools >
Options > Chart menu to interpolate the line over the missing data point, but it
ignores you and treats it as a zero. And of course, leaving a gap isn't really
defined for this type of chart. About the best you could do is use a formula in a
cell where there is a gap to interpolate a value for the cell.
