Argh! failed SP1 update eats disk space

Hi,

I have currently only the Word compnoent installed from the Office 2003 Pro
suite (on a Win2K Pro laptop).

I tried to install the SP1 (used the 73 mb file) but the installation
aborted since I ran out of diskspace on C: while the installation exe was
unpacking/preparing.

I had 140 MB left (trash emptied and Norton protected files flushed) on C:
before I tried to install SP1, and after the aborted install I am stuck with
measly 41 MB. I have looked and search all over but I cannot for my life see
where the SP1 files have been left.

I am very disappointed that SP1 could not clean up after itself. And even
more so since I am already quite strained for space.

Could someone please tell me how to get the 100 MB back that are currently
being uselessly occupied somehow somewhere.
