A powerpoint created and opened in ppt 2008 displays all Arial Regular formatted text in Greek. Opening the same file in PPT 2004 and Arial is fine! I've uninstalled/reinstalled Office 2008 several times. Deleted prefs, font caches to no avail. Loggin as another user, same problem. However some other Macs display Arial Regular just fine. Word and Excel display the Arial font properly- it's only PPT '08 that's having this problem. Anyone having an idea wha't making ppt display Greek text with Arial and how to stop it is appreciated!

This problem has been driving me mad! It is somewhat reassuring to know I am
not alone. Has anyone found a solution to this problem?

We are running Office 12.1.2. Both PPC and Intel machines have the problem.
Some machines work fine when deployed, then develop the problem at some
point. We are running a font manager, Extensis Font Reserve. However, I
recently discovered the problem on an unmanaged Mac.

It seems this problem is isolated to PowerPoint. Arial in Word works. This
leads me to believe it is not a problem with the font, but perhaps a font
substitution problem in PowerPoint. Shot in the dark.

I just started having this problem on one of the two Macs in our office. One
works fine, the other is now Greek. Any update on this problem?

Hi - I'm having the same issue as well - we upgraded all our machines at our
office including software updates to Office 2008 (fortunately we have kept
2004 as well)....We are running new Imacs, Macbook Pro's and Mac Pros - all 9
machines have the same issue - have tried osx 10.5.4 & 10.5.5 - plus all of
offices updates - 12.1.0, 12.1.1,12.1.2,12.1.3 & 12.1.4.....Very frustrating
- Hopefully some t Microsoft is listening and fixes this problem
quickly!!!!!....
