Arranging shapes alphabetically

I have built an organisation chart using the wizard and I have finally
managed to get the formatting etc as I want it. The only remaining issue is
that the chart appears to be in random order (i.e. the staff underneath any
particular manager do not appear to have a set order).
Could someone please explain how the chart is ordered (so I can amend my
database) or better still advise how I can rearrange the shapes to appear
alphabetically.

As far as I can see, when you re-layout, it' picks the closest position.
When you add, it goes something like "center, right, left, right-right,
left-left", if that makes any sense. You'd have to really sort your data in
weird way to accomodate that.

Seems as though Visio is concentrating on "nice and neat", but not on any
particular order. It would probably require some custom code to sort the
diagram, or a summer intern to plough through it all. Bummer.
