Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.0 (Cheetah) How do I set my arrow keys so they make very small movements as I layout with text boxes.

One document, I can move the box exactly where I want it, on another, the arrow keys make larger jumps. How do I get that precision back?

First, update your system You are apparently missing about a zillion
updates for both Mac OS and Word.

Then try holding down the Option key.

More to the point Office 2008 cannot run on OS X 10.0 (Cheetah). It requires
OS X 10.3.9 or later. Nobody can give you any useful advice without complete
& accurate specifications. File type (.doc? .docx? Other?) & more
descriptive details about the documents would also be useful.
