Arrows in the Menus do not work

I have G4 that is running MS Office 2001. I the program
that is having the problem is word. In that not matter what
document or if there isn't a document open at all the menu
items with arrows do not display the next box. I do not
have this problem in Excel or Powerpoint.

Does anyone have any sugguestions on how to remedy this
problem?
