arrows next to commands on Customize Quick Access Toolbar

When you customize the Quick Access Toolbar, by adding the commands from the
column of commands to the panel on the right, there are arrows next to some
of the commands, i.e. undo, etc.

What does that mean?

A simple right-pointing triangle (arrow) usually means that the button opens
a gallery.

A right-pointing arrow with a vertical bar to its left indicates a menu or a
picker (such as a color picker).

A down-pointing arrow in a box indicates an entire group from the ribbon.

An insertion point (I-beam) in a box indicates a text field.

Since this is the first release that uses the Quick Access Toolbar, I
wouldn't be surprised if some of the commands in the Customize dialog have
the wrong symbol, or are missing ones that should be there.
