Art Gallery will not run in Word, Invalid page fault .

When I try to insert a pic from clip art thefollowing
happens,
This program has performed an illegal operation and will
be shut down Details Artgalry caused an invalid page fault
in module KERNEL 3.dll at 0177:bf86b16.
Later it tells me to reload office 2000. I have tried
this with no resault.
I have also tried the help Detect and repair this gives me
an error message,
Error1904.Modulec:\Program Files\Microsoft virtual
studio\common\IDE 98\MSE\1033\CSOF.DLL failed to register
HRESULT-2147467259.
Please help with as much detail as pos as I have limited
abilities . Many Thanks.
