After reading the above article, which refers to Project libraries I am
wondering if anyone can suggest code for having vba check which excel library
a desktop has.

I have a multiuser environment where a desktop application can be saved with
Excel 11.0, but the user needs to sign on with a desktop using Excel 10.0.

Is there any code that automatically loads the latest version of the Excel
Library on an individuals desktop?

Consider using Late Binding rather than setting a reference to Excel.
