My question is can I have Access prompt me to sign into my AS400? If so how?
I have a SQL statement running on our AS400 and saved to an IFS folder. I
am using Access as basically a viewer (with some suttle queries) so I can
make a nice and neat report. All are working fine. My problem is unless I
open the IFS folder prior to opening Access my linked tables are not
readable. If I open explorer and look in the folder I am prompted to sign
into my AS400. After doing so I can use my report. I am sure sign is my
issue.
I have pondered using the shell command to open explorer and then close
explorer after sign in on the AS400, but I know this will look "glitchy" to
the user.
Any help on this is GREATLY APPERCIATED!!!!
thanks as always,
Robert
