Sorry, but phrases such as "having trouble", "tried everything" & "nothing
will work" provide absolutely nothing for anyone to go on. However, burning
CDs or DVDs has nothing to do with MS Office software even if the file was
created using one of its programs.

Disc burning is an operation of the OS & your Mac hardware along with any
other 3rd party program you may have for the purpose, such as Toast. If you
don't have other disc burning software use Apple's Disk Utility to copy the
file to a disc. You can't Save a file directly to a CD or DVD directly from
most programs if that's what you're trying to do.

Search in Mac Help on the subject: burn a DVD. If you have trouble using
Disk Utility or if your hardware is malfunctioning you'll find the
assistance you need in the Apple Discussions Forum:

Here's what I did (what a pain)

1. imported the ppt into keynote
2. verified (and fixed some) of the timed pop-ups that were several on
one slide
3. exported it as a Quicktime movie
4. imported it into iMovie
5. shared it with iDVD
6. burned it
7. played it on TV - it works!

Why did you go through Keynote? You can output as a Movie directly from
Powerpoint.

Hey, that's not fair! You figured it out on your own and I didn't even
get a chance to jump in. LOL

You have discovered the steps to follow using PowerPoint 2004. It's
slightly different in 2008 (not as easy, actually). I'm hoping things
will get better in the next big release of office, but it wouldn't hur
to use the File > Send Feedback feature to suggest to Microsoft that
this process be streamlined.

I had to do that because my PowerPoints have many "fades" in and out
on the same slide. Saving it as a movie only shows the final slide
product, NOT the fades. I could have created many individual slides to
do what one single slide does, but the challenge was more enticing --
especially because I called Microsoft and they told me it could not be
done ;-)

And, thanks for the pat on the back, Jim !!!

Very Good - that's one of the limitations we all hope will be eliminated in
PPt Next :)
