I'm a really amateur access database designer. I have taught myself through
trial and error and now have a database which is vital to our work. We can't
afford to have it crash but twice now it has started changing the data to
chinese or japanese or something.
This happens when entering new data into a client's record and only seems to
happen to the record being altered. According to the person who installed
our network, it is due to the server not restarting after a microsoft update.
Restarting the server seems to fix the problem but does not change the data
back into english. The database will let us manually change it back but does
not let us save it.
Can anyone help? We can't afford to be constantly fixing the data.
Our server software is the 2003 SBE and we are using Office 2003.
Cheers
