Asks me to install when I open a file

When I open a word document, or click on the word shortcut from the start
menu, a diologue box pops up that looks like its trying to install office.
When I go to the folder (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10) and open
winword.exe, it works fine, I can even create a short cut to the desktop and
that works fine too. But my main problem still is opening a word document by
itself (double clicking it). Any ideas?

Also thought I should add a few things

its ms word 2002
all the other office programs (excel, powerpoint, etc...)
the problem also happens when I try to save a file within word

I ment to say "all the other office programs (excel, powerpoint, etc...)

Possibly you need to clear the Office Plugin option under Preference in
Norton Anti Virus or possibly Word just needs reregistering in Windows: see:

Well that lets me save files now, which is a step in the right direction,
but I still get the setup diologue box when I do most anything else.
