Asp and MySql with frontpage...

Looking at this site (www.clocksiam.com/clocks.htm), is it possible to add
MySql to drive the buy buttons and maintain inventory without rebuilding the
page (site) from scratch... and is it plausable using FrontPage 2003??? (my
app of preference)

I asked some questions on this subject yesterday, but I am getting mixed
reviews. I really hate to have to learn another app after using FP for the
last five years.

ok... i'll go ahead and say it. A friend is trying to move me into DW.
Better is a very subjective term. I can build a layout in FrontPage in a
minute or less. I don't think that you can do that in DW. Also, is it
feasible to open a page into DW to add or modify a particular item and then
back into FP... or is it even neccessary to begin with??

Please help me clear my thinking on this please. And... is there something
close to a line for line procedure guide out there to do this, this and
this.

Btw... if it sounds like I don't know what I'm asking for, you're probably
right... but try me anyway. ^.^

Thanks...

Luther

Yes it is possible
It doesn't matter if you use DW or FP
- what matters is what your host supports
MySql (probably w/ PHP) or Access w/ ASP
In either case you will nee to learn DB and server side coding

PS
start by removing all spaces from all file and folder names

Stefan... thanks for the reply, and the thing about spaces. As for all the
database stuff, my host, pretty much, has everything... and all that you
mentioned. I think what I need now is a hands on tutor to get me started,
then I can learn the rest as I go.

Again... thank you so much for your response,

Luther
