asp.net (.aspx) pages as frontpage link(navigation) bar items - problem

Hi,
I'm having troubles in adding asp.net pages (.aspx) as frontpage navigation bar items. In frontpage2002 editor normal and preview windows will show navigation bar correctly when editing asp.net page but when I check the same asp.net page with browser the navigation bar doesn't show. With regular asp pages (.asp) I don't encounter the same problem.

Could someone please tell me if this is a bug that can be fixed or permanent "feature" (and I have to upgrade to FP2003 maybe?)? Thanks in advance

I just used FP2002 to add an aspx page to Nav view in a
test web, then browsed that Web. I also published it to
another server running the FP2002 server extensions. In
all cases, the aspx page showed up quite clearly as a
child in home page's link bar.

What version of the server extensions are you running?

Are you up-to-date with FP2002 maintenance (SR-2)?

Have you tried Recalculate Hyperlinks?

Thanks for your reply Jim.

Was the navigation bar also visible in the .aspx page? My example web has navigation root file (default.htm) and two child pages under it: test1.htm and test2.aspx. All three pages include the navigation bar. test2.aspx is visible in the navigation bar, but when I browse to test2.aspx page navigation bar disappears. I tried the hyperlink recalculation also: the same result. However if I browse to test1.htm navigation bar shows correctly.

I then renamed test.aspx to test.asp and browsed to test.asp page and navigation bar showed correctly.

I believe I have all the latest SRs and SPs in both the server and client side. Frontpage Extensions 2002 version 5.0.2.2623 and Frontpage (client) version 10.4128.4219 SP2.
