Hi i am getting the error Assert failed TID:0x34c: 0, FIle
e:\vbe6\ruby\rutil.c line 1565 Get Proc Address Failed when I try to open any
office application that has vb embedded such as word, excel. Hopefully will

The office.setup newsgroup might have been the better place to ask this... And
we'd certainly need to know the version of Word involved to be of much help.

Does the path mentioned in the message exist on your machine?

Hi thanks for the response. I ended up backing up the c drive, cleaning the
disk and am currently re-installing software. My computer has 2 drives, c
and e and I had previously backed up everything from c onto e, before
installing the visual studio 6 so thinking this may have caused a problem.
Possibly something in the registry was pointing to the e drive when it should
have been the c drive as when I deleted everything from e, still got the
error. I removed vs6, reinstalled vs6 and also tried re-installing office
previously which did not work so just decided to redo the machine.
