"Assertion failed!" error?

After Word startup an error dialogue box comes up titled, Microsoft Visual
C++ Runtime Library

X Assertion failed!"

Haven't a clue what this means???

The error message is caused by Dorland's or Spellex medical
spellcheckers in combination with Service Pack 2 for Office 2003.
Dorland's and Spellex have released updates to their
spellcheckers to make them work properly with Office 2003 SP2.
