Asset Diagram Created From Database Data

Hello

We are looking to build a database that stores asset information in a SQL
Server 2000 database. What we would like to have is this information
imported into a Visio document to give a graphical view of all the
information.

Is this possible? If so, is there a template I should use or a specific
design for the database?

Thanks for any and all help. I know this is a pretty vague question but I
hope someone can answer it for me.

Look at the network stencil that is provided with Visio. All the shape have
custom properties that can give you some ideas. If you design you database
with such properties, you will be able to use the standard visio shape for
your drawings.
