assign resources

I am having resource problems. I am logged onto the server and I have two
different projects open. They have each been published to the server. Test1
and Test2 are the names of the files. In Project, in Resource View I can see
the resources from each of the Test1 and Test2. However when I go to the
Gantt Chart view and use the icon with the two heads to assign resources I
can only see the resources from the individual file. The resources created in
Test1 are available in test1 and the resources created in test2 are available
in test2.

Why would I be able to see all of them in the resource view but NOT use them
in the Gantt Chart view??

So where should I be assigning the resources if I want them to be available
to everyone when they are logged in the web site?

In Project Server, when you apply any resource view, you see the resources
in all projects that are currently open. If you do not wish this behavior,
you should deselect the "Load summary resource assignments" option in the
Project Server Accounts dialog when you launch Microsoft Project
Professional and log into Project Server. When you assign resources, you
should use either the Task Entry view (apply the Gantt Chart view and then
click Window - Split) or the Assign Resources dialog. Hope this helps.
