Assign tasks/events to contacts?

Email Client: Exchange

I've been avoiding Entourage's Project Center for quite some time, but I'm digging a little deeper now. here's major road block number one:

in any project management solution, the ability to assign a task to a team member seems like an obvious need. am I crazy, or is Entourage's Project Center missing this feature?
