Hi everyone
I have XP Pro SP2 and just installed Office 2003. I can access Outlook 2003
from either of two accounts with Admin rights but not from the Guest
account. When I click the Outlook 2003 icon (or that for Excel 2003 etc.),
the install wizard starts but stalls stating: <Error 25090. Encountered a
problem with the Office Source Engine.> It suggests looking in SETUP.CHM
for advice. When I did, it said to reinstall or repair from the original CD
whilst logged on with Admin rights. I've done that (both repaired and
reinstalled) but the problem remains. I've looked at MS KB article 827467
which gives the same advice.
I've seen some references to the fact that the install process writes to
areas not available to non-admin users so is it possible to make Excel,
Word, Outlook available to the Guest account or any others that I set up
with limited rights?
Thanks for your time and patience.
