I am using Access 97 to develop a small system to log receipt of materials
that are delivered, on receipt of these materials the system will be updated
with the relevant info, then I want a command button on the receipt form to
send a notification to a chosen email address (selected from a dropdown)
I have set this up to use Lotus Notes, which is the system we use, however,
I have been informed that those completing the receipt do not use email,
therefore my question is:-
Can access 97 command button be programmed to send a notification to an
email address without the user having email? - I have been told that SMPT may
help. but I know nothing about this.
I would be very grateful if anyone out there can help, or suggest a better
method.
