Assigning work load and handling calendars

O

Ole

I have some resources to whom I want to specify working time and non working
time like 3. august = 3 hours, 4. august = 2 hours etc. etc. I have created
the tasks with duration specified in hours and the resources with customised
calendars. However, no matter what i do MS Project only uses the 8 hour/ day
(weekend off) to calcuate the work and duration when applying the resources
to the task - what am I doing wrong - or is there something I misunderstand
about Project?

Thanks,
Ole

Hello Ole,

You can modify the amount of work per day on a task using the Task
Usage view. In the timescaled (right) portion, you can manually
change the number of hours per day a resource devotes to the specific
task.

You may also find showing the task form in the lower portion of the
screen helps. Choose Window > Split to show the task form.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
