assignment details

I have noticed that in some of the project task assignments that they will
show a table consisting of week days showing hours for work, actual work and
OT and in other schedules this table does not appear.

What controls this table/ I would like it to display all the time.

If you are in a gantt chart type of view ( task info on the left and calendar
on the right) You can right click on the calendar part. You will see a list
of fields to display. If you want more options, select detail styles and add
the field you want
to display

Where are you looking at the task assignments? In Project Professional 2007
or somewhere in PWA? Let us know where specifically and we will try to
help.

PWA. I am refering to the timephase info. in the assignment dteails view.

Is it possible that the differences are because the projects are using
different method for tracking task progress, such as % Work Complete, vs.
Hours of Work Done Per Period? To determine this, you (or the PMs of
several of the projects) should open a project and click Tools - Options -
Collaborate. This page will show you the method of tracking progress
selected for the project. Let us know what you find.

Hi Dale,

I have been having this issue also with a few assignments on certain
resources and I think your answer below will certainly help me to resolve
this issue, unfortunately when I go into the Collaboration tab the options
for method of reporting are greyed out? I'm set as an administrator so I
don't understand why I wouldn't have access to these options?

Paul --

If the option is grayed out, this means the Project Server administrator
(namely you) has locked the default method of tracking progress. Does that
help? Let us know.
