Assignments not appearing in Project Server Task Timesheet

We have been testing Project 2003 Project Server. During
the testing, we have experienced problems with published
assignments not appearing in the resource's Task
Timesheet View. I have tried all of the collaborate
publish options and they still do not appear. The tasks
do appear in Project Center's assignment's views
associated with the proper resource. In some cases, when
I republish the missing task, more of the resource's task
disappear.

I'm not sure if this makes a difference, but we converted
our Project Database from Project 2002 instead of
importing the projects into Project 2003.

We really want to migrate to Project 2003, but are stuck
until we can resolve this. Any help would be appreciated!

In the sidepane on the left side of the Timesheet page, there are options to
display "Current tasks" and "All tasks." By chance, do your users have the
"Current tasks" option selected? If so, they will only see tasks that meet
the following criteria:

1. Any task that should have started but has not started
2. Any task that has started but has not yet finished
3. Any task that starts within X days, where X is the defined number of
days you specified in the setup of your tracking method

Using the above criteria, completed tasks are not shown, nor are tasks that
start more than X days in the future. If the user selects the "All tasks"
option, he/she should see all of the tasks to which they are assigned and
not just the "current" tasks. Let me know if this helps.

Dale,

Thanks for answering my post!

We have selected "All tasks" and the tasks still do not
appear on the timesheet page.

Any other ideas? It appears this starts to happen when
updates are accepted that cause some type of error on the
task. For example, task starts before a task constraint.

Dale,

We did see errors in the application log on the server.
However, we fixed them and the problem remains.

We have been looking at the administrative options to see
if that is somehow affecting this. Our time period
options have been set to "Non managed periods". This was
not an option in Project 2002. Would that make a
difference?

Thanks for your help with this!

Diane,
I was just browsing through the MS Project discussion group and saw your
post. The "University of Kentucky" tag caught me eye. I manage the project
office for a large company in Lexington and it's good to hear of another
local user of MS Project. Are you a member of the Bluegrass chapter of PMI?
