Hello,
An application suite that I support uses Word to create and distribute
documents. Currently, we support up to Word 2003.
One of the distribution modules has an issue with page numbering when
creating the document to distribute. The module creates one Word
document by inserting many documents that were created in a production
module and then distributes the document either by faxing or e-mail.
The problem we are running into is occuring during the page numbering.
The templates that are used in the production module insert page
numbers with the format "page x of y" in the footer. When the
distribution module inserts the files, it doesn't restart the
numbering at the beginning of each inserted document...it simply
continues numbering the document. I've tried section breaks, using
{numsection} instead of {numpages}, and creating a bookmark all to no
avail.
We've also tried inserting the documents after changing the field
codes in the original documents to text by using ctrl+shift+f9. That
didn't work either.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
